learning by the books

okay, so i got complains from my friends who said they receive email everyday from friendster which content is "caroline II has updated her blog". being a "tau diri" friend that i am, i move back to my old habitat then.

okay, so it's 4 p.m in the afternoon, and i'd chosen to stay at home doing the usual: koran, kopi, harper bazaar, metro tv, fashion tv, and of course hours and hours on the net. there are two diff papers that i read every morning: kompas and Pikiran rakyat. goodness, aint the two of them show you the clear difference between jakarta and bandung!? kompas just shows you the metropolitan with all its modernitas, komunitas, activities of all the "tbk" companies, international column and all. while koran PR is a true picture of a community newspaper, bandung exclusive: the activities of dada rosada and his crew, polisi ngejar maling, seorang ibu di kampung yang diperkosa, aktivitas kampus, all those kinda things.

geez, what a difference huh?

anyway, i am still a sucker for information yang aneh2, so both of them are pretty satisfying for me to read. I found a very interesting fact in both koran today.

kompas states the founding of biochip to detect early symptoms of disease in human body, while PR today reports new founding in health industry as well : "lengkuas dan kunyit pengganti formalin" haha..

niwey, enuf learning wif all the koran and metro tv, my true passion is harper bazaar and fashion tv anyay. i started reading the mags at 2 and when i stopped reading it was 4 already. i seriously stared at one page of a model wearing gucci, channel, chloe and all of their other friends for 5 minutes. looking at the price and gasp, looking at the make up, looking at their tall and sexy body then gasp again, then reading the column by tom ford, karl lagerferd --> how do spell his name? reading all the names of the cafe and restaurant all over new york and monte carlo.

you know, it's all too jet setters for a 21 years old, but that;s the beauty of reading harper bazzar. it encourages us to dream big. man! one day i will go to monte carlo, attend Louis vuitton private party, meet anna wintour in person, have a town house and host weekly cocktail party like padma lakhsmi, doing all those glamorous things.

hey, a gurl gotta have a dream right?
